What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit the site.

  •  First party cookies are cookies set by the website you’re visiting. Only that website can read them. In addition, a website might potentially use external services, which also set their own cookies, known as third-party cookies.
  •  Persistent cookies are cookies saved on your computer and that are not deleted automatically when you quit your browser, unlike a session cookie, which is deleted when you quit your browser.

Every time you visit our website, you will be prompted to accept or refuse cookies.

The purpose is to enable the site to remember your preferences (such as user name, language, etc.) for a certain period of time.

That way, you don’t have to re-enter them when browsing around the site during the same visit.

Cookies can also be used to establish anonymised statistics about the browsing experience on our sites.

How do we use cookies?

We may place a number of cookie files in your web browser, when you access and use the Service.

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • To activate certain Service functions;
  • To offer analytics;
  • To store your preferences;
  • To allow notice distribution;
  • For marketing purposes.

We use session cookies and persistent cookies as part of the Service and we use different types of cookies in order to provide the Service.

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but that will cause some parts of the site to not work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

Performance Cookies

 These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site and will not be able to monitor its performance.

To view an overview of the privacy of your Google Analytics cookies please go here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245.

You may install a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on by going here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

Marketing Cookies

We also use a marketing database management program Kajabi.com that deploys a cookie when a user interacts with marketing communications, such as a marketing email or a marketing-based landing page on our website. This cookie collects personal information such as your name, which pages you visit on our website, how you arrived at our website, and your purchases from the Supplier. Collected information is used to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns or to provide better targeting for marketing. From time to time, cookies set by third parties find their way into this “Marketing” category, but the Supplier does not always have control over those cookies and does not share personal data with those third parties.

Third Party Website Cookies

 When using our website, you may be directed/redirected to other websites for such activities as filling in forms, making payments, filling in surveys, and to view content hosted on those sites (e.g. Calendly, Kajabi, Stripe, Instagram, etc.), such as posts, an embedded video or news articles. These websites may use their own cookies.

To view this third-party content, you first have to accept their specific terms and conditions. This includes their privacy and cookie policies, which we have no control over.

We do not have control over the placement of cookies by other websites you visit, even if you are directed to them from our website.

But if you do not view this content, no third-party cookies are installed on your device.

These third-party services are outside of the control of the Supplier. Providers may, at any time, change their terms of service, purpose and use of cookies, etc.

Some of these third-party services providers are based in countries outside of the European Union (Kajabi.com and Google Analytics in the U.S.A.).

The European Commission has the power to determine, on the basis of article 45 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 whether a country outside the EU offers an adequate level of data protection. The effect of such a decision is that personal data can flow from the EU (and Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) to that third country without any further safeguard being necessary. In other words, transfers to the country in question will be assimilated to intra-EU transmissions of data.

You can check and stay up-to-date on the countries which the European Commission has so far recognised: https://commission.europa.eu/law/law-topic/data-protection/international-dimension-data-protection/adequacy-decisions_en

For those countries (and third-party service providers based in such countries) where the European Commission has not issued an adequacy decision, when giving and consenting to giving your personal data, including through the placement of tracking devices/cookies, you need to make sure that you have read and understood the privacy notices/statements of such third-party providers and whether or not they have implemented other safeguards mechanisms in respect to the processing of your personal data, such as:  standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, certification mechanisms, codes of conduct, so-called "derogations" etc.

We have taken all steps within our control to ensure compliance with the EU GDPR, including but not limited to obtaining the express explicit consent of our users, allowing for consent withdrawal, informing users on types of cookies used and giving you the possibility to accept or reject the use of such tracking technologies.
